Wayzgoose Printing Fair: 2007

Held at the Vancouver Public Library, November 17, 2007.

The Wayzgoose is a biennial event sponsored by the Alcuin Society, bringing together bibliophiles from all over the Pacific Northwest. On display are limited edition and fine press books from contemporary publishers, as well as local artists' handmade books.

The Drift : Art on Main Street

2nd Annual Open Studio Weekend, October 1 & 2, 2005.

This free art celebration takes place along South Main Street, from 2nd to 33rd Avenue. Shops, galleries, and cafes on and around Main Street are showcasing the work of sixty established and emerging artists, and twenty-three artists are opening the doors of their working studios to the public on Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm (business hours may vary). Fiona Raven's photomontage explores the fine line between realism and surrealism. Combining everyday images of people and places from her color and black & white photography, she creates scenes of fantasy worlds that are familiar and almost believable. (Click on the images below to enlarge.)
